An Avo a day keeps the Dentist away!



Veganuary is here and food trends suggests most of us are opting for healthy greens including Avocados, to ensure we are healthy living, especially after the Christmas indulgence.


Here at Bucklersbury Dental Studio we encourage healthy eating as diet and dentistry work together for good oral healthcare.


With Avocado being one of the trendiest foods around, and one that isn’t hard to find as most menus include this ingredient, we’re really pleased because this is a food that is full of prebiotic fiber which feeds bacteria in your oral and gut microbiome and promotes healthy digestion. Avocado is also shown to provide essential fats and nutrients for your eyes.


Now that we are in a new year and conscious of our diet following the festivities, Bucklersbury Dental Studio also want to advise you to take care of your teeth and gums by making a habit to floss your teeth and schedule regular dental check-ups. Attending the dentist regularly can protect your oral health and identify early signs of gum disease.

We all know that we need to lay off the sugar if we want a brighter, whiter smile, so with that in mind we encourage chewing on healthy vegetables as this will do wonders for your smile. Alternatively rinsing your mouth or chewing sugar-free gum after meals can reduce cavity-causing bacteria.


Making a personal commitment to improving your oral health is a resolution you can smile about all year long.
